Renovation of an existing supply warehouse facility (Building 150) at 178th Fighter Wing Springfield, OH. This project expanded existing 5,600 SF SCIF by roughly 22,425 SF (the largest SCIF in the United States), and provided final operating capability for this SCIF.

Construction included selective interior demolition and addition of interior walls and utilities including mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Other non SCIF area (approximately 11,800 SF) was also renovated to house 254 personnel. This project provided all required exterior utilities, communication support, geothermal system, fencing fire and security systems. The project is constructed for LEED Silver Certification.

Megen Construction, as part of JV, Awa-Megen LLC, served as the General Contractor on the project for the Ohio Air National Guard. Our responsibilities included providing all project management, quality control management, safety management, superintendence, subcontractor coordination, cost control, CPM scheduling, general conditions, carpentry, doors, frames, hardware, metal studs, insulation, drywall, painting, and division 10 work.
