Over the summer of 2019, Megen Construction was contracted by Miami University to complete three renovation projects each at a different University campus. At the main Oxford campus, we constructed a 140,000 SF renovation of the Women’s Varsity Soccer Complex featuring a new, distinct stadium entrance and plaza, a new 700-seat bleacher structure, complete re-skin and renovation of the existing press box, technology upgrades, infrastructure for new LED sports field lighting, and a new fan plaza with areas for temporary concessions and food trucks.

Simultaneously with the Soccer Complex modifications, we completed department/office renovations at the satellite Middletown and Hamilton campuses. The Johnston Hall Renovation was the alteration of existing circulation, office and storage spaces to create a new office suite for the Middletown Campus Career Services Department. The Mosler Hall Renovation consisted of the alteration of existing classrooms and office space into a new suite for the Hamilton Campus’ E-Learning Department.

As general contractor, Megen was responsible for overseeing the budget and schedule, coordinating subcontractors, and managing quality control to ensure the projects completed for the beginning of the academic year. These “summer slam” renovations required continuous schedule coordination with a fast-track schedule of May to August. On each project, we completed the original and additional scope items one week before the final completion date. Our dedication to quality work was evident by many end-users noting their appreciation of the final result.
