Northern Kentucky Convention Center
Design+Builder, General Contractor
Megen has had the privilege of working on multiple renovations of the Northern Kentucky Convention Center, the second largest meeting facility in Greater Cincinnati. We served as design+builder on the 60,000 SF renovation of the first floor of the convention center, consisting of exhibit halls, lobby and restrooms. Updates in the exhibit hall and lobby included new painting and carpeting, LED lighting systems, fabricated architectural features, and resurfacing of operable partitions. Restroom upgrades consisted of ceramic flooring and wall tiles, countertops, and hands-free faucets, toilets and hand dryers. We completed all renovations on time and on budget over a four-month period, while the Convention Center continued events and operations.
Serving as general contractor, our team converted a 5,300 SF interior ballroom into a 421-seat theater-style auditorium/lecture hall space. This modern training center consisted of a fixed auditorium with raised seating, theatrical lighting, new a/v technology and large projection screens. Construction included installation of a two-story digital wall with capabilities to display a combination of videos, images and graphics. Once again, we worked with NKYCC to schedule construction around times when the owner’s clients needed quiet for their seminars, training and events. By proactively addressing issues and challenges, we overcame budget and scheduling issues to deliver a quality project on schedule and within budget. The new space allows Northern Kentucky Convention Center to serve their clients and the greater Cincinnati community for training needs.

I appreciate your guidance and professionalism more than I can express. Coming in on time and under budget was amazing and has certainly set the bar for all future work.”
