Over a five-year timeframe, Megen constructed eight renovations throughout UC Medical Center facilities to provide advanced healthcare to the Cincinnati community.

These projects included: a 15,000 SF renovation of Holmes Hospital into an Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Center; a 3,000 SF renovation of MRI Room G235; a 2,500 SF renovation of an IR Holding Area for patient recovery; a 7,000 SF conversion to a new Cardiovascular Recovery Unit; a 2,600 SF Endoscopy Procedure Room; an Interventional Radiology Procedure room; a 3,137 SF expansion of the Cardiovascular Recovery Unit; and a multi-phased renovation to update and convert laboratory space.

Serving as construction manager, our extensive experience with occupied renovations and logistics/phasing coordination was valued, as all projects were completed on occupied floors of a hospital, where patients were being transported or procedures were on-going in the adjacent room. Our team coordinated construction activities with staff in the areas to keep construction on schedule, but not impact the staff workflow. All projects were completed on schedule with minimal disruptions to hospital operations, and we exceeded UC Health’s diversity goals on every project with over 40% minority inclusion.
