The tenant fit-outs of four levels in the newly built medical office building on the Mercy West Hospital campus was a complex, multi-phased, fast-track project. Construction of the 100,000 SF space included offices, exam rooms, x-ray rooms, CT scan room, therapy gyms, rehabilitation area, reception area, waiting rooms, conference rooms, break rooms, a decorative wood/glass stair feature, operable wall partitions, and modular system walls and furniture. As the project progressed, a fifth floor space was added to the project with two additional tenants, making a total of 15 tenants overall.

As general contractor, Megen managed the fit-out on all five levels of the newly built core and shell building. The core and shell was only 60% complete when the fit-out construction began, which led to extensive scheduling and coordination to keep the project progressing. We created a detailed schedule for the scope of work on all levels to run simultaneously with the lean construction focus, eliminating all flat time in the original schedule.

Our team worked directly with the developer, design teams and Mercy Health representatives through the coordination of equipment and tenant space requirements, while maintaining the budgets and cost reports. It was crucial to Mercy Health that the 12 week target dates of each tenant space were met, to prepare for the opening of the main Mercy West Hospital facility. Our dedicated team met the scheduled dates as promised.
