This home includes 30-foot ceilings with hand-painted murals, enormous fireplaces, a recording studio, antique heartpine plank flooring and decoratively carved roof trusses. The estate overlooks a lake from a wooded hillside and includes tennis and basketball courts, a pool, gazebo and patio for large scale entertaining. This project provided a rare opportunity to build a uniquely palatial, yet warmly welcoming structure replete with finely crafted custom details.

Due to a lack of quality control and other issues with the original contractor, Megen Construction was requested to take over completion of the estate. Filled with poor workmanship, Megen had to gut the main house interior down to the studs and start rebuilding. As Construction Manager, Megen was responsible for design coordination, permitting, bidding, cost estimating and on-site construction supervision over the three phase project.

The Owner was pleased with the final project, and subsequently hired Megen to build other structures on the estate including a separate garage to house a classic vehicle collection and a 1,000 SF addition to the home in 2002
