Construction of the new 148,000 SF full-service jail and sheriff’s office for Warren County more than doubles the existing complex. This modern and efficient facility includes 122,000 SF of jail space with minimum, medium and maximum security housing; intake areas; visitation areas; classrooms; medical and dental exam areas; outdoor recreation areas; full-service kitchen; sallyport; and other support spaces. With an increased bed county of 496 from 280, capacity needs are projected to be met for the next 15 to 20 years with land for future expansion. The 26,000 SF sheriff’s office provides office space for investigators, evidence/property room, training rooms, and office records.

Megen, in conjunction with other JV team members, provided construction management services. During preconstruction, our team worked collaboratively with designer and owner to identify cost saving alternatives to maximize the budget, as well as maximize the local Warren County subcontractor participation. Our team delivered this needed facility on time, and came in under its projected budget.
