Assistant Project Manager

Overview

The Assistant Project Manager manages the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects including the day-to-day project management activities. This role helps to oversee schedules, budgets, subcontractor coordination, and project documentation while ensuring alignment with project goals and company standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Help facilitate updates in the overall project schedule.
  • Manage shop drawings, contract documents, submittals, RFI’s, change orders and material logs through Procore.
  • Assist with overall project cost management.
  • Assist in preparation of change orders, change order review, and issuing changes to owners and trade partners with direction from your supervisor.
  • Assist with the monthly owner billing by assembling each Trade Partners and purchase order invoices.
  • Development of project specific scopes assigned by your supervisor along with assisting through the scope review process.
  • Assist with reviewing all Bulletins, ASIs, FWD’s etc. for scope compliance in relation to cost, time, sub-mark-up etc., prior to preparation of change orders.
  • Distribute all Bulletins and ASIs.
  • Assist your supervisor with project buyout.
  • Consistent attention to detail along with the ability to anticipate problems and discrepancies.
  • Quantity takeoffs on relevant scopes (fixtures, basic SF takeoffs, etc.).
  • “Ability” to perform Superintendent duties on a job that only requires one person
  • Consistently meets KPI requirements
  • Includes all previously established roles and responsibilities for Senior Project Engineer.
  • Develop contract documents and assist as needed with contract development and or management.
  • Other duties as required by your supervisor.
