Fountain Square RenovationA $26,000,000 overhaul of the heart of downtown Cincinnati and the parking garage below. Construction is scheduled to begin September 2005, and be completed late August 2006. The Megen Team is excited to begin work with the Owner and Design Teams to transform Fountain Square into a world class urban park setting.
Renovation of the square will include the relocation of the "Lady of Genius" fountain assembly, demolition and removal of the skywalk bridge connectors and re-grading of the fountain plaza closer to the surrounding street levels. Renovation also includes the installation of new granite pavers and curbs, new restaurant and retail spaces, ice skating rink and portable stages.
Renovation of the garage consist of extensive structural repairs to the garage roof and deck assemblies, waterproofing, new lighting and ventilation systems, new restroom facilities, new and efficient elevators, and provisions for valet parking and well as self parking.
